CAESARS PALACE REVEALS MAIN ENTRANCE RENOVATION

 

        Following the completion of a multimillion-dollar renovation of its original main entrance, iconic casino dome and porte-cochere, Caesars Palace now offers a lavish arrival experience. The redesigned space includes a dramatic entryway with a coffered ceiling, refreshed gaming areas and the new Galleria Bar in the hotel lobby.

         After raising the roof of the entryway to match the grandeur of the hotel lobby, arriving guests now enter a beautifully lit space, with a coffered ceiling and an intricate marble mosaic floor. A 15-foot-tall Carrara marble statue of Augustus Caesar welcomes visitors under the raised ceiling, which features hand-painted illustrations of Roman gods and a spectacular chandelier containing 70,000 crystals.

        The extravagant entryway is the first of several new additions to Caesars Palace, with Peter Luger Steakhouse, Dominique Ansel Las Vegas, Stanton Social Prime and more to come soon.

         Beyond the entryway are two new state-of-the-art gaming pits. Additionally, the crystal-cloaked casino dome now boasts a new, larger crystal chandelier weighing approximately 3,200 pounds and comprised of 12,000 individual crystals. The linear rays radiating from the chandelier contain approximately 120,000 additional crystals. With more than $1 million in crystals, brighter, energy-efficient LED lighting and reimagined carpet, wall and ceiling coverings, the domed gaming area is radiant.

        The 24-hour Galleria Bar in the hotel lobby offers 24 seats and 22 multi-game slot machines. With a modern take on a palatial Italian study, the new bar features four life-size Venus sculptures and a backdrop of antique mirrors, cerused wood with antique gold accents and Italian inlaid wood murals.

 

ARIA WELCOMES PROPER EATS, AN ELEVATED FOOD HALL

 

        Industry trendsetter Clique Hospitality is bringing together a collection of highly sought-after imports and only-in-Las Vegas destinations with Proper Eats, an elevated food hall serving eclectic cocktails and global cuisine opening in early winter. Set to the stunning architectural design by Italian Canadian designer Alessandro Munge, Proper Eats will span 24,000 square feet on Aria’s second-level promenade.  

Proper Eats, a first-class culinary epicenter, will house four of the company’s own creations as part of 12 palate-pleasing concepts including the first Wexler’s Deli outside of Los Angeles; London’s famous Seoul Bird; Clique’s newest concept, Temaki, serving fresh, innovative handrolls and other modern sushi dishes; Egghead from Manhattan, plus several in-demand restaurants and bars.

Clique has enhanced the hospitality landscapes of San Diego and Las Vegas through more than a dozen dining, cocktail and entertainment destinations including The Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails and Eight Cigar Lounge in Las Vegas. 

 

M RESORT WILL OPEN KNIGHT TIME HOCKEY BAR

 

        The hockey bar honoring the local teams and celebrating M Resort’s partnership as the Official Team Headquarters Hotel for the Henderson Silver Knights will celebrate a grand opening on the evening of Oct. 5 with a star-studded hockey event for media, followed by the official grand opening to the public at 6 p.m.


        Converting the former 32° Draft Bar space at M Resort, the new hockey bar features new TVs and a video wall.Now fans can catch all the game’s nuances while watching televised Henderson Silver Knight games all season long. The bar also offers a new private area, The Penalty Box, and more intimate booths and seating with arcade games and a pool table. There are also eight alcoves in the back of the bar where guests can control their own TV.
        Located on the casino floor adjacent to the sports book, Knight Time Hockey Bar features a hockey-inspired wall wrap to simulate a hockey rink and the all-new floor being installed is comprised completely of hockey stick designs. Various hockey memorabilia will be adorning the walls such as skates, signed hockey sticks, gloves and jerseys from the team. The Henderson Silver Knights logo will be emblazoned on chairs, couches, and tables, as well as throughout the bar and casino.

 

SPIEDINI FIAMMA ITALIAN BISTRO WILL DEBUT AT RAMPART CASINO

 

        As Rampart Casino continues to celebrate more than two decades in business, it will be opening a new culinary addition, Spiedini Fiamma Italian Bistro, on Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 5 p.m.


        Located in the main Promenade connecting Rampart Casino to the JW Marriott, Spiedini Fiamma will bring a very coastal vibe to the property with shades of blue and curves mimicking waves throughout the design, light colored marble and quartz counters lining the bar and tabletops, sand colored stacked stone and light tiles adorning entryways and accent areas, and lush blue velvet banquettes bringing the sophisticated color palette together.

        Paying homage to “fiamma” in the name, flame-element features are throughout, including firepits on the patio, an open kitchen with a pizza oven add to the overall vibe. Above the open kitchen, a beautiful coastal mural by local artist Anne Marie Vadala, gives diners a feeling of being in an Italian café, which is reinforced with Chef Paula Smagacz robust menu of Italian staples. 

        Continuing the tradition of beautiful outdoor spaces on property, Spiedini Fiamma is no exception with a wraparound outdoor patio spanning more than 1,400-square-feet surrounded by lush greenery, waterfalls, and koi ponds.

        Happy Hour will launch Oct. 23 and run Sunday-Thursday from 4-6 p.m. featuring drinks, bites, and wines by the glass starting at $5. Dinner is served daily starting at 5 p.m. Spiedini Fiamma will also feature a private dining room, as well as semi-private patios, which can accommodate between 16 and 50 guests.

 

BAT OUT OF HELL - THE MUSICAL’ DEBUTS AT PARIS

 

        The award-winning hit production “Bat Out of Hell – The Musical,” featuring Jim Steinman and Meat Loaf’s greatest hits, opens this week on Sept. 27 at the 1,380-seat Paris Theatre inside Paris. Performances are nightly except Monday at 7 p.m. with 9:30 shows on Friday and Saturday.

        The internationally acclaimed musical is the Rocky-Horror-style celebration of bombastic rock opera and live theatre. The chart-topping rock songs of Steinman propel an epic story of rebellious youth and passion as Strat, the immortal leader of The Lost, has fallen in love with Raven, the beautiful daughter of the tyrannical ruler Falco. 

 

DONDINO RETURNS TO HEADLINE AT ITALIAN AMERICAN CLUB

 

International singing sensation Dondino returns for his last Las Vegas performance in 2022 before heading out on his fall USA tour. He’ll appear at the Italian American Club with his vintage showmanship on full display at an 8 p.m. performance, which follows a buffet dinner starting at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $65.

        Dondino will perform a mix of popular standards as well as new and original compositions during his intimate show. Las Vegas residents are familiar with Dondino’s talent from his 13 years headlining at the Four Queens on Fremont Street. Worldwide audiences know him from performing at The Dondino Theater in Branson and around the globe, including the Latin Quarter in Japan. Dondino was born in Puglia, Italy, moved to Brooklyn, N.Y., at age 10, and made his stage debut at age 13.

 

JOHN LEGEND FILMED MUSIC VIDEO INSIDE HIGH ROLLER

 

Zappos Theater headliner John Legend’s newest music video for his song, “Nervous,” was filmed on location inside the High Roller, the tallest observation wheel in North America. The 12-time GRAMMY Award-winner, multiplatinum artist, activist, and EGOT (Emmy, GRAMMY, Oscar and Tony) winner returns to perform the final shows of his “Love in Las Vegas” residency at Planet Hollywood’s Zappos Theater Oct. 14-21.

 

DONNY OSMOND ANNOUNCES 2023 DATES FOR HIS HARRAH’S RESIDENCY

 

Donny Osmond has extended his award-winning solo residency inside Harrah’s Showroom through May 2023. Added performance dates include Jan. 24-28, 31; Feb. 1-4, 14-18, 21-25, 28; March 1-4, 7-11, 21-25, 28-31; April 1, 4-8; and May 2-6, 9-13, 16-20, and 23-27.

         Winner of Best Show, Best Headliner and Best Singer for the 2021 Best of Vegas awards, Osmond’s show is an energy-filled musical journey of his unparalleled life as one of the most recognized entertainers in the world. Fans are treated to Osmond’s engaging performances throughout the show

including the fan favorite and showstopping “Auto-rap-ography” – a rap song accompanied by milestones photos and videos from his impressive career of six decades. Osmond also does a full Broadway production of his classic Disney hit from Mulan, “I’ll Make A Man Out Of You.”

 

HUMAN NATURE PROMOTES MOTOWN AND CHRISTMAS SHOW

 

Human Nature, Australia’s hit pop vocal group, will appear again Oct. 11-13 and Nov. 3-6 at South Point with their Motown sound. They will headline a “Christmas Motown and More” show Dec. 20-23 at 6:30 p.m. For their December engagement, the group will celebrate some of Motown’s chart-topping hits along with holiday favorites, such as “White Christmas,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “Winter Wonderland” and more. Tickets start at $45 for the holiday show.

        While Australia’s Human Nature featuring brothers Andrew and Michael Tierney together with high school best mate Toby Allen have sold more than 2.5 million albums, earned 27 platinum awards, 18 top 40 hits and five top 10 hits worldwide, Las Vegas has been privileged to enjoy their talent since they arrived in 2009. The group’s Las Vegas residencies at The Venetian and before that the Imperial Palace, celebrated in excess of 2,000 performances as headliners.

 

CHIPPENDALES TAKE ‘GET NAUGHTY’ TO EUROPE

RESORTS WORLD HOSTS GRONK FAMILY REUNION

 

        Resorts World will host NFL star Rob Gronkowski’s “Family Reunion” Saturday-Sunday, Oct. 1 and 2. Weekend-long festivities will include various activations, a game-day viewing party and special merch drops for Gronk fans to join in on the fun. Guests can join the Gronkowskis celebrating+ a weekend of football by purchasing tickets on Resorts World’s website.

        The weekend will kick-off Saturday, Oct. 1 at Zouk Nightclub with a performance by resident DJ Tiësto.

        To close out the weekend, a game-day viewing party will start at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2 at the fully integrated social gaming lounge Red Tail. There will be exclusive merch drops and activations for fans to enjoy while watching the games. There will be special viewing party packages for guests to purchase, as well as “Gronk Trivia” between quarters with exclusive prizes for the winners. 

 

MEET ‘CAKE BOSS’ BUDDY VALASTRO ON SEPT. 30

 

Buddy “Cake Boss” Valastro, along with family members, will host a public meet and greet for fans as part of a celebration of his dining concepts at Harrah’s and The LINQ Hotel. The meet and greet is free to attend; however, cookbooks, Buddy Valastro merchandise and treats from Carlo’s Bakery will be available for purchase for the Boss to sign.

        The event at Buddy’s Jersey Eats at The LINQ Hotel + Experience will be Friday starting at 10 a.m. with the line closing at 4 p.m. and occasion over at 6 p.m.

ARTIST CHRIS ELLIMAN WINS MADE IN VEGAS ART COMPETITION

 

        Following hundreds of submissions, weeks of voting, and judging from a panel of world-renowned artists, Park West Fine Art Museum & Gallery is announcing surrealist artist Chris Elliman as the winner of its second Made in Vegas art competition. Elliman, selected from nearly 500 artists, will receive a year-long contract offer from Park West Gallery, the world’s largest art dealer, as well as a three-month exhibition of his artwork, where his paintings will hang alongside masterpieces by Picasso, Rembrandt, Renoir, and other art legends at Park West’s Las Vegas location.

        Elliman’s work with his unique signature bold style is currently on display at Park West Gallery in the Forum Shops inside Caesars Palace.

 

DOUBLE HELIX WINE & WHISKEY NOW FEATURING THE ULTIMATE BOARD

 

Double Helix Wine & Whiskey Lounge in Town Square now offers the Ultimate Board, a nine-item appetizer extravaganza.

Perfect for sharing with your friends or colleagues, the Ultimate Board is presented on an impressive three-foot board and incorporates Double Helix’s fan-favorite dishes: margherita pizza, taquitos, arancini, meatballs, garlic knots and choice of two charcuterie and two cheese selections. The Ultimate Board is $19.75 per person, with a four-person minimum.

EMPORIUM ARCADE BAR WILL HOST REGGAE RISE UP PRE-PARTY

 

        At AREA15, Emporium Arcade Bar, will host Aloha Unplugged, a Reggae Rise Up pre-party on Thursday, Oct. 6 from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. The evening hosted by DJ Sistah T will include live island reggae music as well as special performances by Joseph Soul of NBC’s hit TV show “The Voice,” DJ Pryme Tyme and Desert Sound.
Additionally, guests can shop from local cultural vendors, including Island Vybz Brand and Spark The Journey. Local craft beers, boozy slushies and hand-crafted cocktails will also be available.
Admission is complimentary, but guests must be 21 years or older to enter. Guests are encouraged to use the back door at AREA15 and mention “Emporium” for free entry.

 

AMON TOBIN RELEASES MEOW WOLF OMEGA MART COLLABORATION

 

From the moment one enters Meow Wolf Omega Mart at AREA15 to the moment you step through a portal into Factory and the world beyond, you’re surrounded by sound and music. Now, in the first release of an Omega Mart soundtrack collaboration, composer/producer Amon Tobin is releasing his contribution to the exhibition as both a digital collection and an online campaign to produce “A Living Room” on vinyl via Bandcamp. Audiophiles can finally bring Omega Mart home—and find an aural portal back to the Dramcorp Factory anywhere they choose.   

Tobin was commissioned to score a space as a living soundtrack that would morph over a 20-minute period in a physically interactive environment. “A Living Room” soundtrack is available for download and pre-order on Bandcamp.

 

YOUTH THEATRE PRESENTS PLAY WITH SHERLOCK HOLMES

 

        Rainbow Company Youth Theatre, a city of Las Vegas program, will feature a production of “Sherlock Holmes and the First Baker Street Irregular” Sept. 30-Oct. 2 and Oct. 7-9 at Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 S. Brush St. The mystery play features Sherlock Holmes, 14-year-old Wiggins and her fellow street urchins.

Showtimes for the eight performances are 7 p.m. Fridays, 2 and 7 p.m. Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Sundays. For the Oct. 8 matinee, American Sign Language interpreters will be available. Play is recommended for ages 7 and older. Tickets are $8.

 

THE STRAT RECOGNIZES NATIONAL VODKA DAY

 

        The STRAT will celebrate National Vodka Day in the View Lounge with featured cocktails on Tuesday, Oct. 4. Special vodka-based cocktails will include the “Towering Mary,” made with Absolut Citron Vodka and house-made bloody mary mix with pepperoni, cheddar cheese, bacon, a chicken wing and an olive placed on skewers, priced at $21; and the “Cotton Candy Martini,” crafted with Absolut Vanilla Vodka, Cointreau, triple sec, lime sour, cranberry and cotton candy for $18.
