DOWNTOWN ROCKS FREE CONCERT SERIES RETURNS

 

        Fremont Street Experience, the six-block entertainment district located in historic downtown Las Vegas, invites guests to celebrate the long-awaited return of Downtown Rocks with a lineup featuring a diverse range of chart-topping talent covering multiple genres. Music fans of all ages can rock out under the Viva Vision canopy during the free concert series which kicks off on Saturday, June 26with American alternative rock band, Chevelle and continues with full-length performances by Craig Morgan, Plain White T’s, 3 Doors Down & Seether, George Thorogood and more.

 

BOYBAND BROCKHAMPTON WILL PERFORM AT THE COSMOPOLITAN

 

                Alternative hip-hop boyband Brockhampton will headline The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan on Friday, April 8, 2022, as a stop on their “Here Right Now” tour, alongside Jean Dawson, Paris Texas, and HVN. Tickets start at $29.50 for general admission and $59.50 for reserved seating.

                Featuring a diverse team of vocalists, producers and other creatives, Brockhampton quickly found success with their unique lyrics and sound. Led by Kevin Abstract, the group released their “Saturation” trilogy albums, which later led the group to sign with RCA Records in 2018. Since then, the group has released three additional albums, including the group’s chart-topping “Iridescence.” “Sugar,” the group’s first Billboard Hot 100 off of their album “Ginger,” went on to become certified Platinum in 2020. This year, Abstract announced the band will be releasing two new albums, the first being “Roadrunner: New Light, New Machine” featuring hit single “Count On Me” with vocals from Lil Nas X.

 

LAS VEGAS WILL HOST SUMMERSLAM® AT ALLEGIANT STADIUM

 

        WWE® (NYSE: WWE) will hold SummerSlam at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Saturday, Aug. 21 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, marking the first time the annual event has been held at an NFL stadium. SummerSlam will stream live exclusively on Peacock in the United States and on WWE Network everywhere else. Allegiant Stadium is a state-of-the-art global events destination and home to the Las Vegas Raiders.

                WWE® will search for the next generation of Superstars and host a multi-day talent tryout in Las Vegas as part of SummerSlam Week. The tryouts will give elite male and female athletes and performers the opportunity to showcase their abilities with the goal of being selected to begin training at the state-of-the-art WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Fla. HARRAH’S UNVEILS $200 MILLION RENOVATION

 

                Following a completed investment of more than $200 million, Harrah’s Las Vegas now features 2,542 redesigned guest rooms, a complete casino floor remodel, two new LED marquees at the north and south entrances and new exterior purple lighting. Guests can also enjoy a variety of hotel, dining and entertainment offerings including The Spa at Harrah’s Las Vegas, Pizza Cake by Buddy Valastro and Donny Osmond’s first-ever solo residency. Additionally, the center-Strip resort provides direct access to the new 550,000-square-foot Caesars Forum Conference Center.

                The completion of the redesign of all 2,542 rooms and suites was in 2020. Refreshed guest rooms feature bold purple and blue hues that complement the cream-colored décor, dark wood accents and contemporary fixtures. Each room offers an oversized backlit vanity station, and bathroom backlit vanity mirror.

                The casino floor has upgraded lighting, floor and ceiling tiling, carpeting and modern restrooms. The main lobby is highlighted by an oversized ombré art piece with purple and blue hues behind the front desk. Additional design highlights include marble floors and counters, as well as contemporary bronze columns with wood paneling.

                Harrah’s is home to “Cake Boss” star Buddy Valastro’s fast-casual concept Pizza Cake, featuring the Strip’s first-ever Cake ATM. The menu consists of authentic New York-style pizza available as whole pies and slices, Carlo’s Bakery’s famous cake slices and over-the-top slices of dessert pizza. Open late-night, the restaurant is designed to recreate a typical New Jersey/New York-style pizzeria with elements of street art, classic furnishings, old-school photos and music from Buddy’s personal playlist.

                Donny Osmond will return to Las Vegas and the Caesars Entertainment family with his first-ever solo multi-year residency in Harrah’s Showroom opening Tuesday, Aug. 31. Osmond’s return to stage will be a musical journey of his unparalleled life as one of the world’s most recognized entertainers. Performances will be nightly at 8 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday.

 

KARDASHIAN KLOSET WILL DEBUT FIRST BOUTIQUE AT RESORTS WORLD

 

                Resorts World will debut the first and only pop-up shop of Kardashian Kloset, the Kardashian-Jenner e-commerce retail resale site. The popular online retailer features items from the family’s personal closets and offers a wide range of designer clothing from athleisure to black tie, plus shoes, accessories and jewelry. This will be Kardashians Kloset’s first physical location and will offer one-of-a-kind items not available online. 

                Opening on June 24, the pop-up boutique will feature pieces from Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian West, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner and Scott Disick. Sale items are hand selected by the family and will be replenished weekly. Fans will be able to shop recognizable pieces such as the stunning Roberto Cavalli evening gown worn by Kris Jenner at her famous Christmas party and Kylie Jenner’s rare tie dye embroidered Hermès Birkin x Jay Ahr. 

       Kardashian Kloset will join Resorts World’s previously announced curated collection of boutiques, located at The District, which spans 70,000 square feet.

 

MILKCOW PREMIUM DESSERT CAFE WILL MOO-VE INTO TIVOLI VILLAGE

 

                Milkcow, the premiere soft-serve ice cream originally from South Korea, will open its first premium dessert café Nevada location in Tivoli Village this summer. Milkcow ice cream is distinctive in that it tastes milkier and creamier than a traditional soft serve, as its organically sourced without preservatives.

                Milkcow was founded in 2013 as the first milk and honey concept ice cream brand. After seven years in development, Milkcow is now open in more than 15 countries with more than 50 locations.

 

BELLAGIO’S CONSERVATORY CAPTURES ELEMENTS OF EARTH

 

                Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens is welcoming summer with the debut of its new display, “Eco: A Season of Earthly Awareness” running through Aug. 28. Paying homage to the elements needed for life to flourish, with more than 30,000 flowers and plants, the garden beds are artistically designed to represent earth, wind, water and fire. The display is complimentary and open 24 hours daily.

                The West Bed represents the element of earth with the display of Gaia, The Goddess of Earth standing more than 22 feet tall. Surrounding her are two cascading waterfalls. The garden is surrounded by blue Hyacinth macaws and two giant passion-flower blossoms, and Scarlet Ibis standing 10-feet tall.

                The South Bed represents the element of water. A large wall of vines, botanicals and floral arrangements descend from the ceiling, becoming the backdrop for a Koi fishpond with streaming waterfalls and flowing fountains. Perched on two rocks are two tree frogs and a turtle topiary with fresh-cut flowers.

                The East Bed represents the element of air. A two-story treehouse towers over the garden inviting guests to walk underneath. A wooden plank walkway spans two parts of the rainforest, and arches delicately designed with botanicals, tree frogs and bright exotic butterfly sculptures offer views from all angles.

                The North Bed pays tribute to the element of fire, with a Phoenix as the focal point that flies above a volcano spewing steam and molten lava. Among the lush greenery sits a jaguar on a tree branch.

 

SILVERTON ADDS STADIUM GAMING TO CASINO FLOOR

 

                The Silverton has added an all-inclusive Stadium Gaming experience to its casino floor. The interactive, electronic table game offers guests three card poker, blackjack, war, and roulette supported by two live dealers and a host. The 16-seat game in the heart of the casino allows for a more engaging playing environment with individual podiums, screens for each player, and the capability to play alongside multiple friends.

                Additionally, the casino recently added seven new Buffalo Link™ games from the popular Buffalo™-themed brand all corralled in its dedicated Buffalo XING zone.

 

STATION CASINOS OFFERS NEW COMPLIMENTARY EV CHARGING STATIONS

 

                Station Casinos has introduced 30 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at its six Las Vegas area resort casino properties. The company has partnered with Rexel Energy Solutions to install the ChargePoint CT4000 charging stations featuring dual ports, which is the most advanced Level 2 station in the market and can fully charge some vehicles in less than four hours. Charging will be complimentary to all guests utilizing the ChargePoint App. The new charging stations replace older EV stations and increase overall capacity for guest vehicles. 

 

SUMMERLIN HOLDS AMERICA’S BIRTHDAY PARTY PARADE

 

                The public is invited to celebrate our nation’s 245th birthday at America’s Birthday Party Parade: A Summerlin Community Celebration on Saturday, July 3 at 9 a.m. This year’s event has been reimagined as a 30-minute mobile show incorporating parade floats, giant inflatable balloons and choreographed performances. While this event will be smaller in scale, the pageantry and patriotic spirit of previous parades will be on full display with 25 themed entries. The parade route will be lined end-to-end with American flags. Due to the smaller scale, there will not be grandstands or announcers’ booths along the route.

                Giant inflatable balloons will include a birthday cake, American flag and Uncle Sam hat. There will be performances by the Drumbots, Desert Angels gospel choir, West Las Vegas Arts Center performance ensemble, Danza del Carrizo native American dancers, Swing It Sisters, Guan Strong lion dancers, stilt walkers and a live DJspinning beats through the streets. Also, appearances by beloved cartoon characters, community mascots, princesses, superheroes and more.

 

WYNN HOSTS RED, WHITE & BARBECUE EVENT AND MASTER CLASS

 

                Burt Bakman, legendary pitmaster of SLAB BBQ in Los Angeles, will be a guest at Wynn for a couple of culinary events next month including a July Fourth feast, and a master class for barbecue connoisseurs.

                Backyard barbecues are synonymous with Independence Day celebrations, and this July 4 from 7:30–10 p.m., Wynn will take on the tradition with a Red, White & Barbecue event hosted at the resort’s new outdoor event pavilion and lawn. Bakman will join Wynn’s executive chef of catering and special events, Kelly Bianchi, to create the resorts first-ever patriotic, culinary extravaganza.

MAVERICK HELICOPTERS FEATURES SPECIAL ‘STARS & STRIPES’ FLIGHT

                Gilley’s Country Summer is back at Treasure Island, offering live country music, line dancing lessons, bull riding and rotating food and beverage specials all summer.
                Daredevils can take a ride on the Gilley’s bull starting at 6 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, and line dancing lessons are offered from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday-Thursday. Additionally, Las Vegas country station 102.7 Coyote Country will broadcast from Gilley’s every Tuesday night with live music starting at 8 p.m.

                JW Marriott Resort and Rampart Casino in conjunction with Vitalant will host a two-day blood drive July 3-4 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Marquis Ballroom.
                Donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment online by visiting vibrant.org and enter RAMPART as the code. While the need for blood donations is a constant necessity in the community, the summer months are when blood donations are most needed due to drastic drops in donations. Vitalant must collect about 5,300 donations every day to meet the needs of patients at 900 hospitals coast-to-coast.                 After a 15-month closure, Hofbräuhaus has reopened and welcomed guests back to its daily party atmosphere featuring boisterous sing-alongs, dancing in the aisles and on the benches, and premium Hofbräu beer and food.

                Cabo Wabo Cantina inside the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood has relaunched its breakfast menu, available daily from 8 to 11 a.m. The expansive menu offers Mexican-inspired dishes, priced at $15.95 each. The location has vibrant patio dining for guests to soak up the morning sun while overlooking the Strip.  

                Two worlds will come together as Chef Giovanni Mauro of Monzu Italian Oven + Bar and Chef Hemant Kishore of Toddy Shop team up to host an Indian and Italian fusion dinner, “India Meets Italy,” on Thursday, June 24 at 7 p.m. at Monzu, 6020 W. JACKPOT AT ALIANTE

 

                A local guest won big at Aliante last Saturday taking home more than $114,000 as part of Boyd Gaming’s regional linked Pai Gow Poker progressive jackpot. The winner was playing Face Up Pai Gow Poker and bet $1 when he hit a seven-card straight flush in clubs, winning him a Pai Gow Poker progressive jackpot of $92,993. The player also placed a fortune bonus side bet which hit for an extra $21,186. Six Boyd Gaming destinations participate in the company’s regional linked Pai Gow Poker progressive, which has been reset at $75,000.
