November 2018

Thanksgiving was the first American holiday.   It was proclaimed by President George Washington on November 26, 1789. It was to be a day of prayer and public thanksgiving in gratitude for the successful establishment of the new American republic. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.  It’s a truly American holiday, and it’s all about friends, family, and just being thankful…and of course, there’s the food.

November in Las Vegas is a wonderful time—good cheer and good weather abounds throughout the city. Holiday shows are starting to appear all over the city. Thanksgiving is a major event in this town. A lot of people take advantage of the long weekend and spend extra time in Vegas, and most restaurants have Thanksgiving offerings and specials, which will rival even the finest of home cooked meals. Las Vegas wants your business and has a lot of offer. Many of the Hotels are offering outrageous deals for you to come and stay here.

I hope that everyone has successfully survived Halloween.  Halloween in Las Vegas is a full contact sport…so now, we can now officially start the Holiday Season!  Most stores have already put Christmas decorations up, and the ads for holiday merchandise have already been airing all over the place. Turn your clocks back at 2:00 am on November 4th…Daylight savings time is over!
